Niantic acted quickly and decisively. Given what happened next, it turned out to be a good decision, one that allowed many trainers to continue enjoying Pokemon Go in weather that could have easily prevented it.

Will Niantic reverse Pokemon Go changes to return to normal?
Now the question is, if when the world returns to normal, Niantic will reverse the changes. After all, Pokémon Go looks and plays very differently now compared to the beginning of March.
Trainers have gotten used to being able to enjoy Pokémon Go from home. This is even truer for rural gamers who have long complained about not being able to play the game correctly.
Niantic risks facing the wrath of the Pokemon Go community, or at least large portions of it, by eliminating them all. Instead, we can see the game go to some kind of middle ground.
It's hard to imagine that the hatching distance of the egg will remain discounted and that will probably be what it was again: it makes sense that a 10km egg requires 10km of walking! The duration of the incense will likely be the same, which probably won't meet much resistance.
However, the increase in the appearance of Pokémon can be maintained, at least to some degree. This will calm rural players a bit and will continue to give those who enjoy playing from home the chance to do so. Elsewhere, the interaction distance of the gym and Poképaradas could be back to what it was because coaches will be able to travel to them.
